Animal Music is an independent record label based in Czech Republic, founded by Petr Ostrouchov, musician himself, film score composer and entertainment lawyer. Since 2007 we have been adding to our selection of the best music on the contemporary Czech jazz scene. Our catalogue, however, also features a generous selection of fusion titles where jazz meets classical, contemporary, folk, and world music. Indeed, authentic performance, regardless of genre, is what interests us most. We take pride in hiring the best sound engineers and graphic designers to work on the individual projects and we are delighted that our records have received widespread critical acclaim and won, in many cases, the most prestigious Czech Music Academy prize, the “Anděl” award

All About Jazz needs your support

All About Jazz & Jazz Near You were built to promote jazz music: both recorded albums and live events. We rely primarily on venues, festivals and musicians to promote their events through our platform. With club closures, limited reopenings and an uncertain future, we've pivoted our platform to collect, promote and broadcast livestream concerts to support our jazz musician friends. This is a significant but neccesary step that will help musicians and venues now, and in the future. You can help offset the cost of this essential undertaking by making a donation today. In return, we'll deliver an ad-free experience (which includes hiding the sticky footer ad). Thank you!
