Petr Kalfus Sextet at Reduta Jazz Club

Peter Kalfus quartet was iniciated at the beginning of 2011. The original purpose was to create a new musical subjet, which will dominate with the personal sound and join outstanding figures of the czech jazz scene. First part of the repertoire is fullfilled by the "Sight to Sound" by the american saxophonist and composer Walt Weiskopf and the other part is submitted by the personal creations of the other band members.
Weiskopf`s "Sight to Sound" has dedications to persons such as Claud Monet, Vincent Van Gogh, Henri de Toulouse-Lautreco, Picasso or Salvator Dalí. The art piece starts with first song „Sight“ and ends with the last song „Sound“, where the transformation from picture to sound is finished.
